Please excuse my ignorance but if it has heated rear seats and ski bag does that mean it also has the heated steering wheel? Are running boards the only thing missing?

You and I have the same code for the steering wheel, so the answer is YES all 4.8is have the heated steering wheel in the US.

There is a button on the lower right side of the wheel that looks like a steering wheel. All of us can get that warm toasty feeling each morning.
Codes are:
S249A Multifunktion für Lenkrad> Multifunction f steering wheel
S255A Sport-Lederlenkrad > Airbag Sports leather steering wheel

I have a 4.8is, and I have these codes. But I'm pretty sure I don't have a heated steering wheel...if I did, how would I turn it on? Or is it automatic?

if i remember correctly heated steering wheel was an a la carte option for 180 bux.

Not ALL 4.8iS has heated steering wheel. Mine came with EVERYTHING but that.

Yep, mine doesn't have it either.

The multi-function (MLF) steering wheel's option code is S249A (as noted on your option list). The heated steering wheel option is S248A....if you had this option...it would also be listed.

The heated steering wheel option code is listed as below...& you'd see this number listed in the option code list:



If you had a heated steering wheel...you'd know it because there'd be a button on the steering wheel to turn the heating element on.

The illustration and info below is for the regular 4 spoke heated steering wheel...but if the e53 4.8is has the heated sport steering wheel...the basic set-up and concept would be the same...it would just have 3 spokes instead of 4 spokes.
