Are you positively sure you don't have a MAX speed limit set at 35? If you press the MENU button on the nav...then select OBC...then turn until you get to the speed limit setting...double check to see if 35 is in the box at the far right across the top. If it says 35...then the speed limit setting isn't turned off.

The little I/0 box has to be NOT highlighted for the maximum speed limit warning not to be set. It can easily be turned of...but set to come back on...see the instructions below from the manual:

I've double and triple checked it and it not set .I'm going to disconnect the battery and see if it resets :dunno:

So weird. Btw when outside temp is set the setting says "Outside temp Xx" on display no max so it's def not that

Yep..you're right...I've never used the speed limit feature on the e53 (w/nav) until last night...and the warning is a "tone" and the display reads LIMIT XX MPH. So what you're seeing (MAX 35) is not the speed limit setting.

If it goes away after a battery nap...do update us.

Cleared all faults in X and seems to be good for now.I did the alternator bracket and maybe from disconnecting it set some fault in the cluster .Thanks Happy Holidays
