Hazzard/lock button access?

Do I need to remove center console to remove wood trim and access these buttons?

are you trying to pop them out Matt?

Pop your shift boot up and off, you should be able to get your finger under and pop the hazard button out.

If you need to remove the wood trim, yes the center console 100% has to come out.

For some reason, both the buttons started needing excessive pressure to switch. My SO pushed them down thru! :) Trying to bring them back up and diagnose the switch issue.

I think the hazard/lock switch is under $20 so not bad if you need to replace, try to fish them out by getting the shifter trim ring and boot off (I forgot you have auto so the plastic trim piece is the most hassle)

Did you push the whole switch through or the buttons? If the whole switch you should be able to angle and tilt it and bring it up through the hole without removing much

Assuming just the buttons? The lock side is still attached, just the hazzard side that went down, so the thing's kinda in there on an angle. I'll try getting to it thru the shifter hole...

If the button is pressed down into the module, going in from underneath isn't really going to help. If the entire module is pressed down, then you can probably get it reattached.

Here's a link to a replacement, to help you see what you're working with under there.

Looks like the 3 out of 4 tabs on the button housing, holding it to the module housing, are broken. New one is ordered, superglued this one till the other one gets here! :) Thanks fellows...

At least they're one of the most inexpensive pieces on the whole truck! ;)

After some of the other money I've spent, this is pocket change. I'm sure you would understand..!
