Heated seat switching off by itself
 

Hi,
my passengers heated seat started switching off by itself after approximately a minute. I switch it back on but keeps switching off. This happened a couple of days ago and It keeps doing it every time I use the car. The drivers heated seat works ok.
Anyone had similar problem? Or knows why that happens?

If it is so annoying ,just fix it.Probably it is a shortage on the electric system.

Hey, it's only the passenger seat, I wouldn't bother not unless you use the passenger seat.

If you or another adult frequently kneel in the passenger front seat...it can put pressure on the wires and they can break...causing a short.

I wonder how you found that out! ;)

LOL...somethings may be better left "not confessed"...I'll just let the warning mull over in the minds of those that are paying attention...just be careful concentrating the weight of an adult...from like a knee...in a seat that has thin wires running thru it...this can also pertain to the SRS occupancy mat sensor, too. The seat is designed for buttocks...which spreads the weight of an average adult over a wider area. :)
