Want to install aftermarket speakers.

Well I am looking to install after market speakers (door 6.5"). I picked out

Amazon.com: Pioneer TS-A1675R 6-1/2" 3-Way TS Series Coaxial Car Speakers: Car Electronics

as the speaker of choice. Again with this truck, I am very hesitant on doing anything aftermarket just bc with past experiences, I would get very sensitive response from the vehicle. I have replace the head unit with a

Is there anything I should look out? Maybe fitment or electrical issues? And yeah I don't know anything about DSP. I do have it. Idk if the head unit supports DSP or if the installer bypassed the amp. But just really hoping that speakers are just plug and play. Thanks for any responses.

If you have dsp and the amp isn't bypassed you will need to.

Only manufacturer I know that does plug and play speakers for DSP with the stock amp is BavAudio (www.bavsound.com) if I was replacing mine that's what I'd go with

Oh okay. I have been doing my research on BavSound. I do see people comment about how they don't post up any specs of their speakers and that got me a little hesitant. I would really like to know what I am buying. I felt like putting a nice setup with quality name brand speakers would come out to about the same in price but I would get a way better sound system. I'm just trying to figure this out right now what kind of combinations I got put together. Do you know if the stock DSP speakers work with a combination of non DSP speakers? Or if I go with non DSP, all the speakers and tweeters have to be changed?

Also I am having issues looking for the 2.5 inch 65mm mid range speakers for the rear door and dash. Seems like not a lot of companies makes this size. Anyone know of any speakers that size that you can recommend?

You can mix and match BavSound speakers as you upgrade, you don't have to replace all 10 at once. They also make a nice 8" woofer upgrade as well
