New truck, need advice with codes

Okay guys, not new to BMWs nor wrenching but my regular forum is dead for the X5 so I lurk here and finally joined. I bought an 01 4.4 with 141K with bad chain guides, sitting for 4 years.

Did all the work, OEM parts, proper timing tools etc. Truck runs great, almost 2000 miles of trouble free driving.

With OBD2 scanner, no codes, no pending etc. BUT with a real scan tool I get a few codes. Wondering what you guys make of it and what to do? Start fixing things or leave good enough alone?

8D, Fan Activation (I have noticed when you start the truck the fan does spin a little, self test I am assuming)

22, Inlet cam control bank 2

8C, Map cooling

1A, Mixture adaptation bank 1 control limit reached

62, Tank venting Valve

Also, another issue, the truck has sport suspension and rear self leveling. The right rear leaks all the way down overnight. BUT only if its below like 45* out. If it put the truck in the garage, it doesn't leak down (2 days). Roll it outside into 30* weather and its down by morning. I can't find a leak using soapy water. Also no visible cracks on the bag.

when you say "real scan tool" - what do you mean? GT1? INPA? I would suspect that you probably have already invested into cable and INPA - once you clear the faults, do they come back? INPA registers the RPMs, the core temp and other statistics during error, it helps in further narrowing the issue... Also, what does INPA say about the rear suspension? bad valve, perhaps?

No INPA. Its an autel md802. These are the codes that reappear after clearing them. Within a day or two. 8D is instant upon restart after clearing.

No rear suspension codes.

any chance you get hold of GT1 or INPA? with it you can read the codes and also run tests and diagnostics, live...

besides, if the car does not bother you otherwise, i would just let it go and enjoy the ride... :)

Nope, not right now anyways. I can read anything you want and give you the data. Just can't command test like you can with INPA.
