Arnott Reman Front Air Struts or Arnott-engineered struts?
The reman struts are $410 and the Arnott-engineered are $566. Worth the difference?
OR, do I find the shock only anywhere? My air bags are fine, just the right shock feels busted when I go on bumpy roads. |
Air struts are different from the rear shocks,
The remans come with a core don't they? And the new ones don't, right? Good replacement shocks are Bilstein Tourings if the rears needing replacement |
The front struts with the airbags are called usually front air struts which it is made of an air bag and a strut (shock absorber). I referred to the shock as the shock absorber part of the front strut. I see Arnott sells the airbag only and I assume I should be able to find the shock absorber part by itself but I couldn't. realoem doesn't show that by itself either.
The problem I have is only on the right side when I drive fast over bumpy road, or a not flashed manhole. It seems like the shock absorber is busted and lets the wheel jump up in these conditions. Since I don't really know if the airbags were ever replaced I would be better off replacing the full air strut(s). You are right, the reman have a core charge $100 but I get that back so the final price is $150 cheaper pe strut. Is this the only difference or they made something better? |
I think I will go with the reman struts. Should I replace the busted one only? Maybe a bad idea... thoughts?

Did you go with the remans? What are your thoughts?
