Hi, just installed inpa etc software, can anyone tell me if it looks about right, it's just I'm new to all this bmw tech and am a bit anxious about plugging in, ( but hay we all got to start sometime)
Not sure if allowed YouTube links so am very sorry if not and just delete.

it looks right but i cant actually read what is says on screen idk if is because is blurry or i just had to much rum for tonight.

Leeg 02-02-2015 03:58 AM

Ha ha, you can never have to much rum, unfortunately its my blurry video, sorry about bad camera work, I hate to say this but I think technology and age is getting the better off me, most off it to me is like reading Russian (but I'm not Russian) so makes no sence, ha, think I'll just purchase a good basic idiot proof scan tool.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and reply Emory39.

:iagree: if you learn how to use inpa its a great tool.you just got to seat on the X5 hookup a battery charger to the X5 and laptop and browse around the modules. the other programs i think i have the same i just not used them allot

good luck.

Yes think I might use the inpa on my brothers e46 cabriolet first, ha, I was reading on the net that someone had same software and played about with tool32, changed a setting and wouldn't start so had to be transported to a garage, no good,

Haha. If you only use inpa it won't change anithing. Good luck

You have an M57.

Can you select E53 in yours? On some INPA,you cant !You have to input it manually! If you dont have it .then easier to press F9,main menu and select older models and you can select E39 as its the same .No problem :)

Thanks, hooked it up, had 5 faults, cleared them, done instrument cluster test, done oil service reset, miles reset, and now got a picture off the back off a car lit up on instrument cluster, any ideas what it means before I try to clear it, in the little window above mileage.

Great,so you managed to do it!Did you use E39 or E53'
A pic of a carīs rear?On later models its a high exhaust emmissions or inspecion due but there is usually another icon with it ,like a dot?
What were the other error codes you had?Hope you realise that clearing up codes ,doesnt mean you fixed the fault!Fault may still ben there and maybe there!

If its a pic of rear of 2 cars ,its your DSC .Check if you havnet accidentally turn switch off in the centre dash!
