Key Fob with no key

Does anyone know if you can order just a missing key from a key fob?

I know you can do for Mercedes. If not offered by BMW you can buy a blank blade from ebay an have it cut by a locksmith(if you have existing one).

Thanks Price.

we're all so conditioned to getting bent over the $30 seems like a steal.

I'm going to need one of those as well. I'm guessing $250. Worse than that???

RealOEM.com * Part Cross-reference

Use the part number and then search for what they are going for. You will need more than just the remote though.

What do you mean? I don't think I'll need to replace the module, unless the maximum number of keys has been reached, (5?). So it looks like $130 for the remote, and $25 for the key. Just need to code it.

Don't use the RealOEM prices, they are not always accurate as they are never updated. The prices listed were from when the vehicle or part was released.

Possibly double - depends on how much your dealer wants for coding.

And it's the same $$ for MINI, which is presumably more budget type of a car.

I have a good friend who's got a local Indy shop, and he'll code it for me. That won't cost me anything...just the cost of the key and fob. I guess I just need to check if the key count will allow another key first.

Just got a new spare key for my G35 at a local locksmith shop, they cut the key and program the key transponder chip to the car security system all for $40. The key looked identical to the original key that I got with the car. Ask them if they do BMW's keys and they said NO.

bawareca 03-29-2015 08:39 PM

I do BMW,Audi/VW and Mercedes keys at much lower than the dealer prices. Some i can do remotely when someone want to send me his CAS or EIS.
