When the BMW dealer tells you you need an update. Not when an Indy does. ;)

3. Where can I find information relative to what’s included in each upgrade/update?
Not published. In fact, even BMW dealers do not get an exhaustive explanation for every change. Generally they hook it up, run tests, and the systenm tells them 'update this and that'

5. What are the general costs associated with a upgrade/update?

Thanks in advance
Skys the limit.

So you have already taken it to the dealer and they tried for 2 hours. DID THEY CHARGE YOU FOR THIS? If so, they are responsible for completing the work you contracted for and they didnt complete.

Did they reset the TC adaptations? Not 'maintenance reminders', but did the dealer discuss and engage you on specifically what they were trying to do and how it was unsuccessful?

Youve already been to the dealer; they've already tried to do this; I dont understand why you wouldnt re-engage and drive to a solution.

It is super odd that there is only one car here that seems to be affected by this. Ive never seen this elsewhere in the X5 world.
