e70 35d EGR blanking
 

US spec e70 35d. it has the motoroized egr valve not vacuum. If I install a block off cap, will this set of the CEL?
If so what are the best options to block of the EGR not to set off the check engine line?

I cannot remove it from the computer, I wont be able to pass the local emission test.


I was looking at an option I can install and remove without having to send the ECU for recoding every emission test.

Other than moving to a location that doesn't require emissions testing, I'm sorry I don't know what to suggest. I have no emissions testing requirement where I live. Just one of many reason to avoid living in a city.

Even a small deviation in the exhaust gas flow thru the EGR will set the CEL.
