Anyone bought rubber mats recently?

Hi All,

Finally getting my X6 together (which uses same mats as X5) and noticed BMW has some variations in the mats they sell.

Please note I'm talking about rubber mats, NOT the floor liners.

I like the look of these mats:

I do not like the look of these, but it appears these may be the 'new' version?

What's the deal? Does anyone have the mats pictured above, if so what is the part number?

Thanks!

Chris

I have the mats in your first picture in my X5 (e53, I don't have a set for the e70). Maybe that is the difference? Unfortunately there is no part number marking on them so you'll have to hit RealOEM or another source to try to find one.

Here's a link to RealOEM:

Just an FYI...what you buy may not look like those actual mats unless there's some in stock. I'm not sure if those are the newer style or not but what happened to me when I recently bought rubber mats for the E90 is: Every picture I found/part number looked like one mat...called couple dealers to make sure they had that part# b/c I had some coupons to use which basically made them same price as online but when I got to the dealer they were an updated look which replaced said mat.

I have the BMW/weather tech style in my E70 and I prefer them over the flat style mats b/c they're rather flimsy.

Thanks everyone - I may just got the Weathertech route - at least on their website I can see what the mats looked like. I think BMW may have changed their supplier - perhaps I'll go to my dealer and see what the mast look like that they stock.

Chris, I've got these mats on both of my X5's and they work great. I bought a set of the Weathertech floorliners first, but I did not like them at all. They were too slippery in my opinion. Now they are collecting dust in my basement....

Good to know - you find the weight of the mats to be good?

Is there a way to secure them to the floor so they don't move around?

Thanks for the help!

BMW mats will have the soft side velcro pads to attach to what's already in the car and the rubber mats I recently bought actually came w/complete set of soft/tacky pads in case you have neither.

From what I've seen they should all have at least the soft pads on the fronts.
