07' E70 4.8 trans fluid change
 

Hello everyone, could anyone tell me if there is a write up on performing a fluid change on the trans, I looked under my e70 and didnt see a level plug like whats on my E34,so how do I check fluid level, what kind of fluid goes in the trans

Not the same setup you have, but the important bits should mostly be the same:

Check the e53 board as well, might be one there for the 4.8is which is similar.

There is a fill/level plug. Should be a ZF 6HP26. I use Motorcraft Mercon SP (basically same formulation as Life Guard 6). The filter is part of the plastic pan which is replaced as a unit.
