New E70 is in town
4 Attachment(s)
So here I come to the E70 forum, right from our ancestors' E53 forum
The new to me E70 is 2008, alpine white on tobacco. At first, I thought that getting into this color combo is impossible, since i was looking for a space grey one, but when I saw this one in person, it had a spell on me!! plus, it was a clean one, despite having 112K on the odometer. carfax shows no collisions, and mid-life maintenance almost all done (spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, windows regulators, battery, etc...) so i pulled the trigger! Now it is going through a general maintenance, getting the oil pan gasket replaced, brake pads, air and ac filters, etc.. you know, the usual... I hope i won't face a lot of troubles. below are some pictures |
Congrats! Don't you just love that Tobacco Interior?:wow:

Me three!!
How do you like the burl wood trim? Does it have any cracks in the finish? I have the bamboo trim, and am finding cracks along the long axis. FYI, I too felt I would never find an Alpine White, Tobacco interior with a diesel. But there I was, walking through the local dealer waiting for my wife's Cayenne to be brought up from service and there it was. It was a 2009 trade-in with 29k miles. It was mine one week later. :-) |
Well yes, despite being in mint condition from the inside, the wood trim finish does have minor cracks... but it's ok, it's not showing much :) I think the burl wood looks fantastic on the tobacco, so does the bamboo!

I am scrounging the net trying to find the bamboo interior trim for mine. I prefer it. I found it on ebay but it was almost 1200 bucks so for now Ill just deal with the wood trim it came with.

I have the "Camel Nevada" interior with Burr Walnut but I don't have any cracks. Mine's 2009.
