headlights what year ranges fit?
I have a 2007 x5 ... the clear plastic is badly scratched and it would look good to.replace.them. New are very expensive.and.good.condition older are likely messed.up. so if.I just.need.to.replace.housings what.years.Will.work? Will.lock versions.work? How much work to.replace? Does.one.need.to.adjust light alignment when replaced? Do service.coding?

2007-2011 (early models). Make sure you get the right version if you have adaptive headlights. There is both adaptive and non adaptive (headlights that turn into the corners).
You can also get the late 2011 - 2013 (LCI) with the LED corona rings if you are willing to buy an FRM3 module and code your car so it knows you have the newer style headlights. Same caveats for the newer style headlights WRT adaptive. |
Thanks ---
So they have LCI .... what does LCI stand for? When did that happen? 2011? I think I have adaptive headlights but I am unsure. How can I tell? Will the vin indicate that? |

When you turn your wheel to the right or left, does the headlight beam follow it? If it does, then you have adaptive headlights... |
The question of fitment was discussed recently:
