Fresh powder-coated 214's

Some pics of my recently powder-coated 214's. I went with a std. gunmetal color b/c I didn't want to pay extra $100-150 more for a specialty color they had to order. Cost me about $600 for the job, pretty impressed at the quality so far.

Nice! Nice! Nice!
I refinished mine 2 years ago and i am still kicking myself in the ass that I went with te OEM silver and not the gunmetal. It just got worse for me ;)

Thank guys, I'll post some pics once I put them on. I'm hoping it won't look too much of one color since my X is space gray. My 215's pretty much blend in when the cars dirty which is most of the time.

I have ferric grey 214 wheels on my space grey X5 and they look great. I have an SE so the black detailing helps to break it up nicely.

Beautiful. I'm about to get my wheels powder coated and I was wondering about in the hub area or more accurately just the inside lip where it aligns on the hub spigot.

Very nice. I just did $600 as well for my 21" 128's to go from factory liquid black (chrome) to factory silver. Worth it.

they look bad ass :)

Looks good - is it as smooth as it looks? I plasti-dipped mine (bright aluminum from gunmetal) but the rough texture makes it extremely hard to wipe the brake dust off.

Also, how long does the whole job take? Obviously you have to leave your car overnight which is the biggest issue for me... or you could take all the wheels off and leave it on stands, which is an even bigger hassle. ;)

I actually bought the 214's as a spare set and/or to replace my 215's so I was able to drop them off at the place, they usually take about one week total depending on work loads. In my case I had some issues with one wheel not matching the rest (guy didn't wait long enough for it to cool down before applying the coat) so they had to re-do it so it took two+ weeks b/c their load plus I was not in a rush to pick them up.

They do not accept tires mounted on the rims, they also sand blast everything prior but I'm guessing most reputable places do that.
