Help: Engine crackle / creak while idle?
 

I notice when I'm at idle I hear this weird creaking / chirping happening randomly. By randomly I mean every 15 - 20 seconds. For I have the car idle and turn the wheel just shy of full lock it will happen continuous. It will go away if I give it a bit of gas but then comes back when it returns to idle.

I recorded the noise. You'll notice it kicks in around the 5 second mark.

to me is the water pump... how many miles?

Ended up being the tensioner.
