Electrical Help

Ok, I was hardwiring a Dash Cam. Hook everything up, Dash cam worked on switch and everything.

Now My passenger side restraint system is giving me a code. The sunroof does not open, and the lights do not come on.

First though was obviously I blew a fuse. Checked all the fuses that had to do with lights in the back.

Took everything out (dash cam wise) and still have same error. Can someone point me the right way?

Also, My Alarm Feedback noise is not working, neither is my puddle lights on the doors.

My guess is that you tapped the wires into the dome lights panel, which is actually sunroof control module and it also takes care of a few other devices like the rain and light sensor. Like always, first step is to disconnect the battery overnight and report the results after reconnecting. If that doesnt fix the problem I will advice for checking all fuses again or checking for power supply going to the modules that are not communicating. Another test would be to disconnect the dome lights panel completely, disconnect/reconnect the battery and observe.

Ok, I will disconnect now and report Tomm!

On that same note, where is the best/safest switched power supply to tap for devices like this or a radar detector?

The dome light panel is Ok, but the power must be taken from the power supply lines strictly. My guess is the OP tapped somehow into the CAN lines, or there is a blown fuse that he was not able to detect.

OK, just connected it after 8+ hours being disconnected, same thing. What fuses do I need to look at.

Also, What is the best way to get to the front kick panel fuses with out having 3 year old sized hands?

Edit. How can I take that fuse box off the hinge so I can work?

I just open it and work on it when it is hanging on the hinge. You can try to push it up to unhinge it.
