Washers, Brakes, and shortcuts

Hi Guys,

I have those 3 questions that are bugging me:

1- Whenever the lights are on, when I wash the windshield, it also washes the headlights!!! is there a way to stop this? it doesn't make sense to keep washing the headlights if i am driving at night (lights on) and the road is wet (cars in front of me spraying muddy water)...

2- the 2 shortcuts on the steering wheel (rhombus and star) are only mappable to the pre-defines functions in the menu?? all of the options in the menu are useless! can i define new functions to map to those shortcuts?

3- Finally, when the car is stationary, and you press on the brake pedal, things are ok. however, if you push harder and harder, the pedal starts sinking until getting floored. you take off your foot and re-apply it, it is up and normal again. is that a normal behavior?

please guys, those things are driving me crazy :wow:

I hated the headlight washing and i was able to code that out with the Carly app and a bluetooth dongle. Search Carly in the forum

Idk about #2
and #3, mine does the same thing - im not sure if its normal or what.

3, i have the same thing.

1. I don't know how to stop that.

2. What are the shortcut buttons?

3- Good to know that 3 is normal... that's few $$$ saved.

1- I will check Carly... but i think once it is disabled, it will never wash the lights again, while
in E53, the headlights would wash after 3 special programs for the windshield (yeah, there was something like that... oh how much i miss my E53...)

2- on the right, there are two buttons, one with a star (4 heads star) and one with a rhombus. those buttons can be programmed through i-drive, to perform actions. those actions are only limited to few options that are all useless (air circulation, navigation, phone list, etc... I would like to turn on and off the rear climate for example, or something else...

I remember seeing options in Carly to set so that it washed after certain amount of time or after certain cycles of the wipers. I just chose to disable it all together. I might change it now that winter is here and will be nice to wash the salt off when needed.
