Just saw a service special from BMW on Facebook. Probably had hundreds of comments. I was reading most of them and I couldn't believe how many people had problems with there bmw's. Crazy. I mean I think we've all had our fair share of problems.

Like the forums, there is a bias toward reporting problems (or asking for solutions). Not much point in posting, "nothing went wrong with my BMW today/this week/this year". Also a small sample of the BMWs on the road now, so probably not significant even if the bias was corrected. In other words, ignore.

Not to say some BMWs don't have problems and some dealers aren't terrible about fixing them, but I would guess that overall BMW satisfaction is pretty high - as suggested by the premium for a new BMW compared to a more reliable or cheaper-to-fix vehicle.

My own experience, statistically insignificant, is if you take care of them properly they are fine. Competent mechanic, service as scheduled, problems as they arise, etc.
