From what I read from all the other sites, Mobil 1 0W-40 is what they use. I've been using Mobil 1 0W-40 for my BMW and VW/Audi cars.

The Mobil One site doesn't show any oils for the X5 now when you input through find the right product.

I did find the European Mobil 1 in 0W-40 (BMW approved LL-01) today at O'Reilly's. Not sure why their website says there are none.
