2010 x5 35d. Excuse my ignorance guys but is this the drain plug for the engine coolant? It's next to the oil drain plug. The radiator doesn't have any of those blue drain plugs It's a torx screw, anyone know the size? It's definitely more than T55, 15.87 mm to be exact measured by caliper. Thanks

No. Its drain for the front differential.

There is no drain plug for the coolant on E70 35D.atleast not on mine. You will have to undo one of the bottom hose to drain the coolant out.

And it's allen keyed plug not torx..:)

No worries..:)
Differential drain plug takes 14mm allen wrench and it should measure 14mm across flats but i think you must have measured 15.87 mm across corners.

Already drained the radiator hose up front but wasn't sure if there was another plug as illustrated on the 5 series when I googled m57. Was getting frustrated. I went to the dealership few blocks from me and the guy on the parts department doesn't even know what it's for. LOL
Thank the "gods of DIY" I prayed for an immediate answer, and you responded!.
i guess it's all drained then if it's just the hose.
