You have the stock 18" wheels? 26-27 avg is highway? That seems unusually high. I used to get 26avg highway before i put on the 20" 214s. Now i get 21-23 avg

Hand calculated wife's commute. Speed limit is 60 most of the way. She does have 20's. Mix some in town and she gets around 24-25 mpg.

161k on my 2010. Aside from both the pros and cons of the F15, one of the things keeping me from replacing it is the rear seats do not fold flat. How designers came to the conclusion that this is acceptable escapes me. I absolutely need the 2nd row seats to fold flat as mine is a work car and the seats have been up for probably 1-2k miles if that.

What are your options?

Sell if for $15k, then add $60k and buy a new one

VERSUS

Drive it until you get a repair cost that exceeds $x000.




Really this decision is "sell it now and get 15k or risk a major issue and the car is only worth +/- $10k", right? I mean right now you have trade in value...if you keep driving you may have a major issue, like tranny dies, engine dies, and you need to scrap it or spend $$$ to bring it to saleable/trade-able condition. What is this incremental amount? And what is the odds it will happen to YOU?

If you WANT to buy/drive a new car, do it. But IMO there is nothing economical nor 'risk' based that would move me to buy a replacement. The odds of a new BMW leaving you needing a tow in the next 50k miles are prolly the same as your 2009!

Plus $60k sitting somewhere will throw off enough cash to change the oil.... :cool:
