Front Seat Removal & Reinstall DIY
 

Hi there,

I searched already but I can not find an existing DIY for front seat removal and reinstall for the E70 X5 front seats. We have a 2008 4.8 that needs a real good cleaning. And while I am at it, has anyone removed the carpets as well (not the floor mats).

It's pretty straightforward, although recommended to disconnect the battery and wait a bit - 5 mins or so, - before unplugging connectors. Lowering the seat and moving the back vertically would make it easier to take out - seats are heavy.
I think you'll need to reinitialize positioning after reinstalling (move fully front-back)
