Combox retrofit
 

I am going to retrofit combox on 2010 X5. I have CIC Bluetooth , aux and usb in armrest and glovebox.
Looking for tsu and mulf pnp harness.
All i found its to expensive about 125$.
Do you know where can i find at reasonable price or harness pinout to make myself??

May i use google maps after retrofitting combox ??

What difference is between usa and euro spec combox ?
My car is usa version and imported in Europe??
I can get euro version combox at good price.

What is the BMW part number on the side of the box?

That is an older European one so I am not sure if it will work RealOEM.com - Part Search

Ideally you want one that ends in 163 or 164.

I got a stupid question. What point is there to upgrading the COMBOX now? BMW has cancelled their services, so you can't surf the internet or do google search on the NAV screen right?

I believe I have this COMBOX and BMW apps, I can't seem to make it do anything. BMW told me that it doesn't "work" anymore.

What am I missing? Thanks!

As i know if Russian vin coded in combox internet will work for free.

I have one car with combox and one without. The only convenience for me is that in combox-equiped car it's a bit easier to stream music from a phone over Bluetooth, as compared to a $5 dongle that sometimes doesn't connect to the phone right away and cannot operate tracks, etc.

I really don't care about anything else, as it seems we use smartphones for everything nowadays.

Web radio, bt audio streaming, internet, and hope maps.google.com will work to.
Can someone confirm that browser will open maps.google.com and will work. Have someone trued this.

It will cost me about 150$ total and i think it worth :).
I will code myself.

On my combox I have 2 USB port black and blue, so I need to connect to black one and leave blue free, am I right?

I retrofitted Combox and camera doesn't work, any idea ??

I'm told :
You need to swap video input on the CCC\CIC\Video module. After mounting combox and coding this, the standard video input of the camera is swapped around.

Do you know how to do this?

No one retrofitted combox on e70 with cameras ???

I solved camera problem, if anyone need how, just let me know.

I’m curious how you solved it? Was it difficult? Which guide did you follow? I’m about to try and install combox and I’m a bit lost. Can I install without any extra adapters or cables ? Just re-pin existing?
