Weird Whining noise
 

Hi,

This car has been back to the Dealers twice now, had new tyres and new front brake shields but is still making this whining noise. Anyone have any ideas ? It's going back again this week and if not fixed will be staying there.

I can't hear anything suspect in the video. Not saying it's not there, just not immediately discernible. Is it speed-dependent?

Man, I jsut hate it when someone bites the bullet, takes the car to "the experts" and they screw em for GBP 1200 (guess) and still a problem...

I cant hear 'whining'. How about a VERY detailed description of the sound, how it varies- engine speed, different gears, road speed...worse in a narrow road around metal buildings, etc, etc

The noise is there in the video, I found another video on you-tube with same noise albeit louder, it's the rear diff whining. I've only had it 1 month and its done it since I bought it. The dealer has now agreed they can hear it too and they are taking back in.

Hard to pick it up clearly using a phone as these aren't the quietest vehicles.
