ac kan communication failure .. what to do?
 

FYI I bought a wifi carly gen2 bmw code fault tool, works with my iphone.
Used it set the option to fold in and out the mirrors when you lock and unlock the car. Cool!

My issue ... I read the codes but the tool is saying it can't communicate to the ac computer. anybody know where this ac computer is in my 2007 x5 e70 4.8i ?

I have also been seeing the battery become drained when the car is sleeping, I now believe it related to the Blower Fan like this ...

I have the blower and regulator disconnected and the the drain isn't happening.
Ordered a new blower and regulator. Perhaps my AC Kan communications will work when I replace the Blower?

e70 is clearly discharging when locked and sleeping. About 40 to 50watts as it took battery to 50% charged in 18 hours of just sitting. I will now put it on ramps, remove the under motor amour and wait for it to cool off. Should be able to find something warm from the 50 watts ... do not believe it is the alternator or radiator fans ... might be the starter or? Guesses anyone :-)
