Anyone know what this is?
 

Removed the large plastic splash guard below the engine this afternoon and this was sitting on top of it. Looked around but couldn't see where it came from or what it broke off of. The silver part is plastic and the black part is rubber. I'm a little stumped...

looks like a locator pin of sorts. might not even be from your car, just some road debris you picked up. fingers crossed :)

Possibly the tip of an exhaust hanger?

Not an exhaust hanger, not only is it way too small but its also made of plastic. I looked and looked on my car both from above and below and couldn't see anything. Even looked through diagrams on RealOEM trying to figure it out but didn't see anything similar. I'm inclined to think I picked it up on the road. Just had a hard time believing that at first because the splash guard seals everything so tightly. who knows... I guess unless I start having an issue I shouldn't worry about it... Just something about parts falling off that makes me nervous... :yikes:
