No thoughts? Then I take it that this is considered snake oil.

GOOG it...there are literally pages of thread links on that product.
I was curious so I just spent ~15 mins perusing a few, which included oil 'experts', SAE Engineers, et al.
Mixed reviews, and the summations are mixed after pages of boiler plate and testing...

In some cases/some oils the product helped, in other oils it was slight detrimental, mostly having to due with the zinc additive.

Imo, not a miracle drug, and none of us are running these X5 engines to the hilt very often, if ever. A good oil/filter change does wonders...

Or just plain old untested oil with yet a new marketing spin.

Stay away. It is an API SN and ILSAC GF-5 oil, which is NOT recommended for BMW motors. They are much thinner and have reduced anti-wear additives. GF-5 places fuel efficiency ahead of protection. Stick with a LL-01 approved motor oil (Castrol, Pennzoil, Liqui-Moly, Motul). End of story.
