Outside width at tires
Quick question guys:
I'm trying to select a 4 post lift for my garage, and I want to make sure it will be able to handle my upcoming X5 purchase. I'm width limited in my garage, so I want to figure out if the narrower model of lift will work. The outside of the runways on one lift option measure 75-1/2". The track width spec (centerline of tire IIRC) for the E70 is 65" at the rear. Obviously, different size wheels/tires will give different results, but do you think that the narrow option will work without too much overhang? Also, can someone tell me the front to back dimension between the center of the lifting pads? |
Center to center of the lifting pads on one side is about 65.5 inches.
Outside tire to outside tire is just short of 76 " on the front. I have the "210" wheel style which is the smallest, I would add 4" at least it you have "214" style wheels. Dimensions are a tad rough I measured by self with a tape measure. |
