Every 40K miles is no big deal since they are easy to replace without taking out the whole strut assembly.

I got the OEM Lemforders the first time around. But since they are now made in China, I opted to get the genuine OE parts this time. Chinese ones lasted 33k miles, we'll see how the genuine parts will do...

Powerflex has poly replacement donuts for the front tops. Haven't found a similar option for the rear.
