Clunk when pulling away
 

Hi all ,had a look in the search here but nothing conclusive so hopefully someone can shed some light on where to look first ,thanks in advance .
e70 2007 3.0d with 165000 trouble free miles till now. (, over the last few months i,ve had a clunking noise when taking up drive ,not necessary from park just as I'm on and off the throttle at low speeds but it's getting progressively louder and more pronounced now,sounds like its coming from rear diff area.
no leaks etc.

any ideas ?
