Bluetooth Integration...Android Auto?

I'm still saving up a down payment for my upcoming X5D purchase (just dropped $15k on a fence, patio furniture and other landscaping stuff).

How is the Bluetooth integration on the E70s? If you have your phone connected via Bluetooth (Android in particular) and a call comes in while you are listening to another input (radio for example) will it automatically switch over for the call?

Any issues with BT connectivity at all? Anyone use the Android Auto app on their phone? If so, how does it work?

In our '08, BT is just for phone calls. Yes it will ring and switch over no matter what input you're listening to.

No I don't use Android Auto.

We have a 2011 X5 35d and bluetooth functionality has been very good. Connects right away (iPhone), phone calls are clear, music stops playing when calls comes in. Even playing music via your phone connects to the bluetooth and plays it via vehicle speakers.

I'm only looking at 2011-13 models, so particularly interested to hear about them.

My lg g5 wasn't showing contacts until I installed an app called Bluetooth phonebook from Google play.
The problem was that every stupid device has its own non standard tweaks, which make the finicky car based systems go ???
I have call audio, no Bluetooth music but for that I use the aux port if needed.

I have a 2010 E70 with CIC I-drive. The Combox has been upgraded on mine and the functionality is great. Better then what you would get from using the Aux-in. When using it I get the music display on the right small screen and the options to save songs to the hard drive. You'll be happy with it. I don't know how these work with Crapple products but my Samsungs work flawlessly.

Make sure if you purchase a 2011 it has the Bluetooth streaming option for music. Not all LCI 2011's had the hardware to do this, I think it had to be a 10/10 build date and newer for that feature. My 35d is a 9/10 and it does not stream music. If you must have it perhaps wait and get a 2012 or 2013 since they have the LED corona rings as well. Good luck on your search.
