35d Oil leak
I brought my X5 to the dealer for the recall of the active tank. They noted a leak in the oil pan. Upon inspection, I do not see any leaks in the oil pan but on the left side (facing the engine) of the engine. Is this the oil filter housing gasket that is leaking? If so, was there anyone who posted a DIY for this.
I tried the search but after so many pages, I still couldn't find one. Thanks in advance. |
Oil filter housing is on the drivers side. On the passenger side the two primary suspects are top turbo oil line and charge pipe seals. Since oil is on the pan, likely the seals.

Thank you. I've ordered both gaskets for oil filter housing.

Is this a straight forward replacement of the gaskets?
