Option code 655 Satellite Radio
 

I have read quite a few posts over Satellite Radio. My question is what does 655 mean? Does that mean you have the tuner already installed? And if so, what do you need to do to activate it?

I have seen another code listed as pre wiring...but what about this one? Thanks in advance.

I think 655 has the tuner in the hatch for 2007-2009 and the tuner enabled in the head unit for 10-13.

Pre-wiring was available in the 07-09 so you could add the tuner box in the hatch. 2010+ all have the tuner in the head unit which you can activate via FSC code. Either way, any tuner will need to also be activated with Sirius. Give them a call and tell then your VIN. Or tune to SAT and see if a tuner code comes up on the screen.

To expand on smassey' comments...Once an FSC has been entered, it should be enabled forever - even if a prior owner had it, then they let the subscription lapse- all you then need is a new Sirius subscription, not an FSC.
