Need help with Starter on N64
 

Hi Yall,


Can someone point me in direction where starter is located on the 4.8 n62 engine.

I think mine is out....
As in you hear the gear engage and click but the motor does not turn (rotate).

Could be a weak battery or corroded cables. Clicking usually means there is not enough current for it to turn.

You are correct if the clicking was back to back at least a few times.
This click was a press "Start" button click..... no engine start, press "Stop" button click again.


UPDATE is: I tapped the starter and the car starts now.
Now onto replacing the starter.
