Highest Mileage N62 4.8... Post up!

Who here has a high mileage N62 and what have you had to do to get it there?

I'm sitting at 96k and plan to own for another 2-3 years, or until about 130-140k miles.

Love it, and will keep it until it dies.

'08 with 143k. Bought at 128k. Previous owner bought it around 100k and hadn't had the stems seals done while he owned it. No record of it has, but as far as I can tell we're not smoking. We lose around a quart in 5k miles, but not sure if we're slowly burning it or slowly leaking.

'09 at 90k. Stock valve stem seals, but VCG, etc. have been replaced. Plus suspension and transmission maintenance.

'08 94K.

My Indy bimmer guy told me you have to drive theses x5 or you will have nothing but problems with them. A 10 year old x5 should be pushing a 170k by now. That is what my Indy guy is telling me. And now I believe him. The more I drive the x5 the better it runs. imho[emoji6]

Because your Indy's paycheck is less when you don't drive your car--that's why he's saying that . . .
