2013 3.5d turbo hose life span/replacement

What is the normal life span of the 5 turbo hoses?
I was told they need replacing at 45k, 1,200 estimate for all 5.
:dunno:

LOL.

Time for a new shop- YOU are being screwed.

I have never read of one being replaced, let alone as a preventative maintenance.

What else have they been scamming you on?

When you say turbo hoses please be a little more specific....vacuum control lines or charge hoses?

Maybe I've misread your post.

Have you had a failure and you need to replace failed parts? Or is this some kind of 'recommended replacement'?

If this is being proposed to fix a specific problem, what were the symptoms? And how was this diagnosed?

If this was a 'car was doing XYZ, took it in- SA called and said "looks like the turbo hoses are shot, need replacing- 1200" you likely need more details on the diagnosis.

Finally, ask for a list of the 5 part numbers they are proposing to replace for $1200. It is a reasonable request.

Low power mode. Charge pressure low... They are proposing replacing the 5 hoses

Typical dealer BS. Ask yourself, do you think all those charge lines are faulty? Probably not so why would the dealer suggest replacing all of them.....because they haven't isolated the issue. You need a better diagnosis before just throwing parts at the issue. An issue like this could easily end up being a faulty pressure sensor as well so I'd be asking a lot of questions on what makes them think all 5 charge pipes need to be replaced.
