LED Adaptive Headlight Retrofit
 

My X5M has a 12/10 build date and has Adaptive Drive and Active Headlights. Is it required that to get a new wiring harness? Based on the retrofit instructions it doesn't seem that a new FRM3 is needed so I'm wondering if a new harness is needed.

Yes, you need the LED wiring harness, which is only available from overseas. You will also need a new FRM3 - read the posts in the forum about this, they go over a lot of the details. Do your research, as long as you read the threads you'll find everything you need.

Thanks, I'm waiting to receive the harness from overseas. I'm going to hold off on the FRM3. This is an item covered under warranty. I'm hoping I can have this replaced by BMW.
