Throttle position control Fault

Hey guys own a 2008 x5 4.8 96,646 miles . A week ago I got the valve cover gaskets and spark plugs done with a friend , picked up the car 3 days later and was driving smooth on the 4th day on my way home from work car went to limp mode and I quickly connected my obd 2 pocket scanner and got this code p1637, I shut off the car and waited a minute turned it back on and the car drove fine.
I hooked it up to the x5 to my laptop scanned it with rheingold and nothing came up anyways since then I haven't driven the vehicle afraid to have it go to into limp mode ;(

Previous work done throttle body harness and gas pedal and throttle body changed.

P1637 11505 Throttle position control – control deviation, bank 1 Wiring, throttle motor position sensor, ECM

I read about the harness being shorted out but I'm not sure where to start anyways thank you guys!!

Do I need to redo the throttle body harness splicing again? I noticed this limp mode comes on when I'm idled for 2 minutes and floor the gas pedal :( car also shut off and shifted to neutral while in limp mode

what's the suggested test schedule in Rheingold? did you run it?

Thanks for replying man brotha , and no I did not I'm still not familiar at all with the app I just use it to run codes . I'm wondering if I should start by changing the throttle body these were the obd2 codes I got p1638 p1637 p1062 p0120 p0221. Again once shut off the car goes away , but when accelerating hard limp mode :(

In the bottom right hand corner where it displays the codes it should say "test schedule"
it will take you to a screen where a number of tests can be run to trouble shoot the issues.

Wow , so I recently cleared these codes in October by changing the throttle body harness and splicing the new updated harness ..codes are back along with

P1062 BMW - Valvetronics Power Limitation

Possible causes
Faulty Valvetronic Sensor
Valvetronic Sensor harness is open or shorted
Valvetronic Sensor circuit poor electrical connection

At a cold start I moved my car to my garage from the street and
I got a cruise control malfunction on the idrive and was in limp mode

Can lack of an oil change and dirty oil cause intermittent fault with 2A6B valvetronic, power limitation, servomoto

Or would the actual valvetronic motor be the issue? I clear codes with rheingold and car ran fine all day today ,no oil found inside essentric shaft sensor, anyways today I drove my car and no codes or anything but I just want to prevent this from happening again any ideas thanks,

Sounds like electrical Gremlins to me. Dirty connectors. Look for some deoxit pro gold and use something like a q-tip and clean every pin connector on every connector
