Nice going choosing the 10” over the 8”. I love my 10. With a ported box it hits LOW and hard. Box made from 3/4” Baltic birch (lighter and stronger than MDF).

Specs:
- 1cu.ft. (net of port displacement and sub)
- 15.50" width (external)
- 13.50" height (external)
- 18.25" depth (external)
- 1.25" port width
- 35.5" port length
- Tuned @ 32 Hz

Today I fabricated the enclosure that is going to house the amp and subwoofer under the spare tire hatch. (It's upside down in the picture) Did a test fit and fits nicely still needs the side pieces. Going to give it a light sanding then apply the carpet over it using 3M adhesive spray. Coming out better than I thought. Need to clean up the hatch area before securing it in. Should I screw to to the body with self tappers? or just leave it in there as it? Don't want it to rattle. More coming soon!

Very Nice. Wish I could go with something that big, but I need the space, plus I don't want my X to get broken into. Looking for a stealth look. It's the time of the year where the lowlifes are breaking into cars at when you buy grocery's.

Thanks. Dark tint and a black-finished box seem to have saved me thus far. Looking forward to seeing yours completed.

Nice equipment rack/tray. This is going to be nice. Looking forward to more updates. Also surprised to see so much available room under the load floor in the E70. Ours has the mobility package that came with a spare, but I might remove it should the wife allow me to add a little more bump to the sound system.

Nice box as well Entropy. Those panels have zero chance of flex with all those fasteners. ;)

It’s a bit overkill lol, but hey it should outlast the car! I’m considering filling all the holes and finishing it off in gloss black. Need warmer weather for that though.

Just finished wrapping the bottom in sound deadener. Nothing too fancy, should do the job. Next is the rack. Need to finish it up then wrap it in black carpet then add the amp. Still thinking about how i'm going to mount the amp. Subwoofer should be here on Wednesday. I'm going to cut out a rectangle shape on the hatch, add a frame to it and cover it with some beige speaker cloth right above where the sub is going to be. I ended up ordering a Kicker 10' with a shallow enclosure that comes with a passive radiator. Should mount nicely and sound great with the opening cut out. More to come.

Is that the 80mil Noico stuff? If so, it works pretty darn well. I used it in an e30 convertible install recently and was very pleased. Have lots left over so will be using it in the e53 and the e70 when the time comes.

Yes it is. Pretty good stuff, and for the price you can't go wrong.

Done with the rack/mount. Fits like a custom made glove. Not bad at all, just a bit dusty. My X needs a good cleaning. Shes covered in dust. Need to get the amp ready and see where I'm going to mount it. Tomorrow I get the Sub and hopefully I can finish soon so I can button and clean everything up. More to come.
