Radio off with ignition?

My radio must be turned off manually whenever I turn off the ignition on my 2013 E70. Is there a setting that allows the radio to turn off with the ignition?:dunno:

I turn my radio off by locking the door....
If you press the stop button a second time, the radio should shut down.

Stop button second press.

Second press of the STOP button just restarts the engine!

Only if you have your foot on the brake pedal. Otherwise two taps turns everything off.

Good deal. Also just exiting the vehicle and locking the doors will do it. And/or if you exit it will time out and turn off after few minutes.

A bit confused... my radio shuts off the moment I remove the key.

What car do you drive? No X listed....

740iS 11-21-2017 02:14 PM

LOL yes, there is, the end of the line under my pic. '08 X5 4.8i :D

Just realized, OP has 2013 X so probably has convenience feature that detects the presence of the key where mine does not.

So does my 2009 X5 35d wo/ convenience package. If the key is not in, the radio is off.

I’m assuming based on context that the OP has comfort access, as does my X5. Key never leaves your pocket, but when you park and hit the start/stop button the engine stops and the car stays in “accessory” position. A second tap turns everything off, which is effectively the same as removing the key. Or you just hit it once to stop engine, get out, and either lock it or it times out and turns off the accessories.

Thanks again all for this clarification. It may be in the manual (which I read) but your advice was helpful.
