JBD tuner chip no improvement
hi long time lurker first time poster. i have a 2011 x5 35d that is stock. i recently installed a JBD tuner chip and put about 60 miles on it. i adjusted the dial clockwise to a 100% and have noticed no difference from stock. no performance improvements, throttle sensitivity feels exactly the same. anyone know why that might be? thx

I don't know how jbd works but I don't think it affects part throttle much, but will give you more power at WOT. 100% may give you issues, as it exceeds the highest rail pressure the website can pick up. 80% is ok from what I've read on e90post diesel forum

Brand new unit from JBD? Properly installed? What do they say??
|
Brand new and properly installed. I emailed them and awaiting a reply. I wasn’t expecting a world of difference but I expected some sort of change. Especially turned all the way up. I haven’t thrown a code either

It is not the way how to chip up the car!

The JDB even with the dial at half should make a very noticeable improvement driving, even at part throttle.
Do you have a pic of how you have it plugged in? There's 2 plugs there, I wonder if you've got it in the wrong one? But with that said, I don't know how or if it would even drive plugged into the wrong one. |

i don’t have a pic of it right now. but i’m 100% positive it’s plugged in correctly.

i read a while back the dial has click marks that go up/down in 10% increments. the dial on mine turns smoothly. so i would be guessing which percentage i’m at unless it’s turned fully clockwise to 100%. which is where it’s at now
