Rear Diff and Transfer Case Fluids... buy BMW?

Hi all,

Whats the recommended brand of oil for our transfer cases and rear diffs? I don't mind buying the BMW stuff, but wondering if Mobil 1's version is any better a choice?

Correct me if I'm wrong but rear diff takes 75w-90 and the transfer case is 75w right?

Thanks in advance,

Cedric

I just had both differential fluids and transfer case fluid changed last month.

You need 3 of these (1x front 2x rear)

1 for the transfer case

Anyone know the front and rear diff fluids for the X5M?

no clue. look it up on ecstuning or bavauto. I would change the transfer case fluid at the same time.

Thanks, the info is confusing for a lot of people, I'll investigate this with my Tech today according to TIS etc etc and update post.
