Bmw e70 strange code

I have a problem with my 2007 e70 it gives the hand brake error and a Indy has change the little motor inside the hand brake module and still has an error. Tested the motor and it was working it is giving the error code 6E0B anyone knows what the problem is ?

Did he replace a complete BMW part or component? Or did he open up a module and only replace a 'little motor'?

Could you provide the actual part number for the part they replaced??

Ard the replace only the little motor inside the module
The little motor doesn't have a part number because it's not to be ordered from Bmw but the handbrake module part number is 34436850289

According to the Indy it's not the handbrake module itself but the car needs a software update and can only be done by the bmw dealer

Nobody that knows anything about this code ?

Just to see, I put that code in ISTA and couldn't find anything.

Where did you get 6E0B (generic OBD scanner, BMW software, etc)?

All I can think of is that you need to find someone with ISTA or other programming software for bmw, and RESET the module...or recalibrate.

I do not believe it needs a 'software update'.

There may be internal switches, limits, current triggers- that need to be reset so the DME knows how to control the module.

It isnt a "dealer only' thing. It is a "someone that knows BMW software" thing

I have a similar issue that I keep getting the fault code and comes back right after I clear it. A0B1 which says its for" SG Input P N" but my gear shifter works flawlessly.

But I do see in my service history sheet that the hand brake button was replace back in 2011 and maybe the they didn't reset properly? Is resetting different than just clearing the codes?

Let me know what you end up finding I think our issue might related.

Is your transmission leaking oil at all? Just throwing darts here.

No it's bone dry all around that area. I'll be changing fluids, filter pan, and all solenoid seals soon
