What do these words actually mean?

The PUMP stops at 1/2 a tank?

Or the FUEL LEVEL stops at 1/2 when the tank is full?

Okay.

I ran the test as suggested above. I've included photos. It appears as the Right Fuel Level Sensor might be bad. This is based on QSilver7 states in his post. So my question is: Is this a labor intensive job to replace this Sensor? Is it in the fuel tank? Do I have a full tank of gas when I refuel and am stopped at half tank>

Thanks for all the help!!

Did you take the "reading" before or after refueling? If prior...then you know that the left side revealed 41 liters...if you pumped in more fuel...then there's more than 41 liters in the tank and the right sensor is not sending data to the IKE (instrument cluster).

I pulled up the fuel tank diagram and it appears that the e70's sensors have the same build/design architecture as past BMWs. You can access the tank and sensors if you pull up the rear seat and open the access to the tank. You can probably find a DIY using the online TIS (www.newtis.info)....just enter your VIN and then type "fuel level sensor" in the search box and it should pull up enough results to click on to see what it takes to access/replace/repair/etc:

{#3 in the diagram is the right fuel level sensor}
