X6 M performance bumper

Ok here me out (flame suit on)

I want to spice of the look of my x5 pre-lci and only options were the oe aero kit, m-sport, x5m or some aftermarket which all seemed over the top.

Then I came across this:

This is the x6 m performance/sports bumper. Looks cleaner and more rounded than the actual M cars.

If I upgrade to lci fenders, will this bumper fit the x5?

Use realOEM. See if the parts you’re mating to (fenders, bumper carriers, etc) are common between the X5/6. I think they are not.

Well, you need new headlights to begin with, which would already cost you arm and leg. X5M and X6 have the same HL though. Converting to X5M is pretty expensive already, converting to X6M front "may" cost you more, not sure, but I wouldn't be surprise if this will be the case.

I was looking at your conversation thread and it inspired me to the same. I also want to do the LCI sport conversion as well to go with the front bumper.

You used LCI fenders with the x5m bumper correct?

I need new headlights anyways, as do not want do deal with cutting off the old lens and for some reason there more x5m/x6m headlights at a cheaper price (used and in better condition) than the is non-lci ones. I just need to find out if the x5m lights require no coding.

Thank you sir I appreciate that  Yes I used LCI fenders with the rep X5M bumper. Not sure if the new headlights comes with modules already if so, then they need to be coded. Not sure if you can swap the modules (maybe you can) with X5m headlights. I'm sure someone can chime in here on this one.

So I can either install LCI fenders and keep my headlights and painfully restore the lens or get X6 fenders with X6 lights....

Were the LCI fenders direct swap?

replacing lens only is not too bad, they are available on ebay. The fenders are direct swap yes but can be a bit tricky and painful to remove so patience is needed.

Who makes the replica bumper?

One thing I noticed is that the actual x5m, x6m and regular x6 have a thick part at the bottom of the fender where it meets the bumper.

I circled the area of what I on about:

Compared to x5 LCI models almost has no thickness at all. So an oe m bumper wouldn't fit actually. So I'm wondering if the rep m bumpers account for this?
