Camber Bolts (front)

Does anyone have any experience with front camber bolts on an E70? Essentially, it would replace the existing bolt connecting the front lower control arm to the sub-frame, allowing camber adjustments by moving the arm in or out. I read on Xbimmers that any 14mm camber bolt will work.

Here are the bolts I am considering:

Ideally, I'd like to dial-in a slight amount of negative camber up front to keep the outside edges of the tires from wearing out faster.

Outside wear on the fronts isn’t common as far as I know. Think you might have something else going on with suspension or alignment.

Would be a nice find.... im concerned with the bearing surfaces of that bolt- specifically the cam part. But it is a concern based on just looking at it, no experience

Replacing the wishbone at $300 a pop to change camber by +/- 30 min is no fun....

Outer edge wear up front is indeed common, especially on a V8 w staggered fitment and lower inflation pressure- the under-steer just rolls those tires over and punishes them.

Some more serious approaches:

BMW, E70,E71,E72,F15,F16 Front Camber Bush Kit Bushing, #193816i, (Inner Arm Adjustable) – K-MAC Suspension

Those look like a good idea.

Thanks Ard. Was hoping you would chime in. I’ll report back if I decide to go this route.
