You keep quoting the mileage... the car is 8+ years old. It's not young by any stretch of the imagination. Was the oil changed once a year or was it done every 7000 miles? 10000 miles? If following BMW's schedule at the time it would have been done once every 4 years by mileage.

We need details of this "meticulous" maintenance if you want any credibility here.
