Correct! The fact that when the problem occurs it happens with both keys (original AND brand new) is the give-away here. Problem is within the car.

Same problem here since I lost my keyfob , a local locksmith made me a keyfob and programmed it right at my home with his special laptop and connector to obd. 80% unlock/ lock works the other 20% I must open it physically with the key so annoying. Prior to loosing my original keys it always locked/unlocked no problem
